hi!
I've just joined this forum, been using winamp for a while including earlier versions, and hardly ever had any problems!
I was reading some posts here about users having system crashes and blue screens, but i must say outloud that i never had a better media player!
in some earlier winamp versions, some of my plug-ins didn't function properly, but on this version[2.80] they all function flowlessly, including all visualizations!
I've been playing music for days now, made winamp my default even for video with the TARA plug-in, occasional visualizations in background, and other plug-ins combined like blue-cave winamp slider, and DFX audio enhancer, and not a single crash, blue screen or lag...more over, on exit winamp seems to return all resources and cpu to normal status, and no memory leek!
I don't think i ever had such flowless media experience with any of the windows player, neither latest REALONE, in which i had to rename the "spyware" modules loading at boot up.
The only change i recall doing was to disable the winampa agent process from loading in configurations...
Am i just lucky, or what?:)
I don;t have such glamurous system specs, running winME, amd duron 750MHZ, VIA MB with generic on board sound, and kept most winamp configurations on their default since install.
:winamp:*****T H A N K*****Y O U******W I N A M P!!!!:winamp:
