Digital Cameras

I've been investigating digital cameras lately but there are so many that it is difficult to know where to begin. I am not learned in computer terminlogy, but what I am looking for is a simple camera that will take clear accurate photos. I would like it to hold around 100 pictures and be in the price range of $100-$200. I have no brand preference, because I don't know which ones are better.

Found one for £39 total of 105 pics (but at low res 350ish*260ish)
and 26 at high res
its an Aiptek I found at lide about a year ago loads of softwhere with it

gose through batteries in a week, very small

was on spetial offer so dont know normal prise

Is the battery rechargeable or would I have to buy a new one each time?

Also, I would like a decent to high res quality...

Not sureon the price,but the Sony DSC P30 is a great camera. (It is the one i use on my site).
