unpublished component

Received in my mail.
Your component 'Philadelphia Flyers' is now unpublished.
The component has objectionable content.
I reviewed my files and found no obscenities, vulgarities or pubic hairs. I am at a loss for understanding as to why. Is it a hockey thing? You like Montreal better? lmao

There are problems with sports skins, read the stickies.

Everything you need to know about skin publishing at winamp.com

Quote:

WHAT HAPPENED TO THE SPORTS SKINS?

AOL owns Nullsoft, the company that publishes Winamp and upkeeps the winamp.com website. Recently (August 31ish, 2001) AOL corporate notified the Webmaster of winamp.com that they were very displeased by the fact that winamp.com allowed major league sport skins to be published on their website. A list of skins to be deleted was sent along with this message, as well as the instructions not to publish any more 'NBA, NHL, MLB, NFL or college team skins' on the site. We of the Skin Review Squad apologize to the authors of such skins, and suggest that you try DeviantArt,1001 Winamp Skins, or any other of the numerous sites that publish Winamp 2.xx skins.

I'm seriously thinking of putting "READ THE STICKIES" in my sig.

Thank You

I appreciate the answers and the explainations. I must say however, I have been a winamp user since 1998 and have never had a problem, so I never came here. There is no need to put "read the stickies" in a signature if folks like me will never see it. A possible solution to the problem may be to show what is not acceptable as a person goes to upload a skin. If however, the person still uploads this skin then a reply line other than "The component has objectionable content." may be in order.
Thank You Again

See, good, upstanding citizens of winamp.com like you aren't the problem. The problem is people who download Winamp, don't like what they see, and barge into the forums to complain, when all they had to do is read the "Sticky" threads at the top of the forum.
