Assertion Error for a directory that don't exist
 

I recieved the following error after having WA play for approx 10 hrs. All of a sudden, the resources began to be eaten (something else may of happened at the same time as well however).

Error:
Title: Assertion Failed
Expression: hdc != NULL
file: c:\project\studio\bfc\canvap.cpp
Line: 968

Funny thing is, that directory does not exist on my computer.
I have looked on Bugzilla and searched the forums for bug reports about the same thing - but there was waaay to many about assertion errors on bugzilla and none related to my error on the forums.

My specs are:
AMD Athlon XP 1800+, 256 DDRAM, Plenty of HDD, Windows XP.

Sorry if I have replicated a past error - simply couldnt find it elsewhere.

All right. COMPLETELY un-install wa3. DELETE the folder it was after installation. Now restart, update all your drivers for your video and sound card. Restart. Un-install all your video codecs and then install them again [them being the latest version of course] Now [finally] you may install wainmp3. After installation, install the wa3 plug-ins right HERE.

This doesn't happen to me, and it should'nt happen to you unless your doing something wrong. I know this whole procedure is long, but it is worth it. Give this a shot, and I gurantee you that you will have no further problems.
