mad magazine - winamp2 compatible?

so i downloaded the mad magazine skin, put it in the skin folder of course. the file extension was .wal, so i changed it to .wsz like the other forums have said. it still doesn't work.

anyone know what's up with the skin? is it only able to be used with win3? i'm only on win95 too, maybe i have to be on win98 so it works?

help please! thanks ahead of time.

It's a WA3 only skin, WA3 skins are not compatiable in any shape or form with WA2.

what the hell is win3? you don't mean the really old windows v3.1? why would it be compatible with only that?

skins - win3

win3 = winamp 3

i was talking about the skin being only available for people with win3, winamp3. i have win95, as i said right after that. i downloaded winamp 3 a couple days ago, but since i don't have win98, i can't install it and therefore, i can't use the skin.

What? Wa3 dosent work on win95? I havent heard of any such thing.

yep, notice the operating platforms are win98 and up.

i downloaded the program, and when i went to install it, a window came up saying i wouldn't be able to use winamp3 since i was running win95. so i just went and downloaded 2.81 to upgrade. i guess win95 isn't cool anymore, i need to find a way to upgrade to 98 for cheap ;)

...or upgrade the whole pc, anything running win95 these days is...7 years out of date :)

the comp is under 4 years old. not everyone has the money to get a new computer.

win95 is still pretty widely used, at least i'm not running a 486. pentium 2 isn't horrible.
