Hungry? How about a McAfrika?
|
McDonalds will never change.
|
On a sidenote, at the moment I'm reading Fast Food Nation - The Dark Side of the All-American meal by Eric Schlosser.
It's really interesting  http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg...books&n=507846 |
Not only does their food suck, now they're doing this too.
I really dislike Rotten Ronnie's even more now. |
Whats next on the menu?
the McBrazil, the McIraq? |
Let's ban all africian resturants too. Geez you lefties.......

Would you like to see the McTradeTower? |
i don't see naming something after a continent is vile and digusting... but anything to protest "evil" free markets right?
|
They couldn't think of another name for it?
|
I really don't understand why this is such a big deal. People are way to sensitive sometimes. The fact that there is a meal i Norway called McAfrica is not a mockery of the starving people nor does it make their situation any worse. If McAfrica were actually sold in Africa nobody would complain, I thing it would be considered more of a tribute in that case.

this is hilarious.
mcdonalds is an evil megacorporation. no one is denying that. but "mcafrika" is the least of your worries. surely mcdonalds haters could come up with something WORSE than that? i don't see a problem with "mcafrika" at all. i've seen ethiopian restaurants, when all i've heard about ethiopian is that they're all starving. marketing is and has always been a cruel bitch. that's not news. |

It's an African-style recipe. What's so offensive about that? Like the man said: Quote:

[edit]i remember when McDonald's released the Big Mac. Being the fat person that I am, I was offended by their use of the word 'Big'. :P[/edit] |

Personally I would have steered around using the word "africa" and called it something like the "McSoooouuul" ;) McD's Norway will now eloquently remedy the situation/PR disaster by donating 5% of all proceeds to "Save the Children"- just you watch. |

Dont get me wrong, nothing wrong with charity. Just saying, based off histories of other corporations, its a good chance it's their next move...
|
I dont know why the people care. in the time that they were protesting they wasted time to help the starving africans. And mcdonalds food stinks. I dont know about other countries, but, in the U.S. they dont change the oil for about a week. Their could be rats swimming in it....well remember this the next time u want mcdonalds. :) :D

The outcry over the name is more shocking then the name itself.
