Using Plugins WIth Winamp3
This may seem a stupid question but I've been trying for days now and I can't figure out how the hell you use plugins in Winamp3!!!
I was wondering if anybody could help me? Thanks :) |
you install them with the .exe installers
they are accessable usually via the thinger or the components menu(off right click) the plug-ins can be accessable from anywhere so i can't give you exact details. plug-ins can even have their make their own buttons on certain parts of winamp |
Plugins (or as they are now called - Components) are more highly integrated into Winamp... in fact... all functionality in Winamp3 is a Component. That right, so what a 3rd party guy develops fits into the architecture in the EXACT same way as all Winamp functionality.
Plugins can make themselves appear in the thinger, the playlist sidecar, Preferences, the main Context Menu, or in other places I haven't mentioned. Plugins don't even have to make themselves visible at all (although thats a bit scary). Its much cooler then Winamp2, but that means that you can't just go to the exact same place in preferences to mess with your plugins. Hope that helps. |
where is the components menu? i want to run my avs plugins
|
Click the "avs" icon in the thinger.
|
i've installed different avs-components, they're not visible in this thinger-thing or somewhere else, and the avs-config dosen't allow me to load another avs than the standard-avs...
maybe winamp3 is still beta? ohh, by the way: the video playback also dosen't work... :( the winamp 3 user interface is much more uncomfortable than the old from winamp 2... nothing works how it should... :( |
i don't see any avs icon in the thinger. i downloaded elvis history and tuggumi generation x.

it wasn't there before, but i downloaded winamp3 again and reinstalled and now everything is working.
|
wait, another question...how can you get the studio to automatically change which preset it is playing in a certain amount of seconds, like in the old winamp? thanks
|
Change Presets
Just as in WA2:
Double-click in avs window to bring up config > Settings > Presets/Hotkeys > Check Randomly switch presets > Enter time |
| All times are GMT. The time now is 07:28. |
