playlist editor crashes with some skins....please help me winamp
Some crashes with winamp3
hi.......winamp3 is fine, other than the fact that it doesn't show the video in the video window, but only plays the sound.....by the way, computer is totally updated all the time, and also, windows media player plays videos fine...... THE ONLY THING THAT MAKES WINAMP3 BAD IS THAT when downloading most of the skins, lots of them have problems with the playlist, and when attempting to add files to the playlist, it crashes, and after i have done that with a defective skin, winamp3 has to be uninstalled, and installed again to make the playlist feature work..... here's the illegal operations that occur when this happens.... example#1 STUDIO caused an invalid page fault in module <unknown> at 0000:a0000100. Registers: EAX=00431644 CS=0177 EIP=a0000100 EFLGS=00010246 EBX=0000000c SS=017f ESP=00647958 EBP=00647980 ECX=029f3ebc DS=017f ESI=029f39e4 FS=127f EDX=00647978 ES=017f EDI=00000094 GS=4d1e Bytes at CS:EIP: Stack dump: 00fa7984 0000015e 00000000 00647978 00000002 029f39e4 029c2120 00000094 0064798c 00647988 00647998 00fba229 00000094 0000000c 029f39e4 029c2120 example#2 STUDIO caused an invalid page fault in module COMMON.DLL at 0177:00fa7972. help winamp

ok.....now tell me what's wrong......
OK>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
this message is for winamp..... ok, i just decided recently to format my computer, and start over, i downloaded all (ALLLLLLLLLLLLLL) updates for the computer, and winamp still has the same problems!!!!!!!!!!!!!! i tried downloading a skin, and when trying to add a song to the playlist editor crashes when in some skins, most that are available...... i don't know about you ,winamp, but my computer is definently not the problem, and obviously, we all know that formatting a computer and starting from scratch would indicate the computer is in good running condition, and every other program works.....so, please, take my advice on the studio crashes in my above posts......so that way they can be fixed by next release. .................................a reader's opinion that the latest winamp3 isn't really at all compact in some ways.... one reader of pcworld magazine wrote "winamp, windows media player, and all other media players i've tried are behemoths. All i really want to do is play some brubeck while i work and not feel overwhelmed with features, gaudy skins, and razzle-dazzle visualizations flashing in my face. so i switched to Chime's trayplay.".............................. and by the way, if i'm supposed to send a talkback report reporting these crashes, then why the hell doesn't it come up when it performs the illegal operation? beats me, but if winamp doesn't hear me out through this so called tech support deal(forums, what a joke!), i'll find myself a real player, instead of a do-all wannabe.....just like realplayer became when it became realone player, what once was good, became bad, and it also took alot of resources....winamp isn't as bad, but atleast i had no illegal operations with realone.... |
video problem still exists with winamp3
ok....to who it may concern.............
you say that if it works in windows media player, it should work in winamp3, but it doesn't work in winamp3, it only plays the sound of the video, but to your other point about codecs...................... this computer has been totally updated, not to mention the fact that i decided to download divx.com codecs that was recommended by another high tech user on here, and GUESS WHAT! it still doesn't work! obviously, either winamp3 has some serious problems with it's own damn skins and video playback, or my computer must have a program that contradicts with it, basically saying that winamp3 was written poorly, and why do i say poorly you may ask, well, all other programs work fine on my computer, more than fine actually, i've never seen another computer have less problems................... hope this discussion also gets you guys over your denial about codecs as well, because that doesn't help! |
