how many of you are staying with only skinning wa2?
lets see what we've got left in skinner resorces

also if your doing both wa2 and wa3 state that too.

lets get a clear idea who is doing what.

I'm pure wa3 now :D

I'm sticking with wa2, I won't use wa3 until it's at least 3.3, and I won't skin it until I use it. But I don't skin too much these days, anyway.

I would say i'm 90% 3 and 10% 2 ... I still got some versailles mods to push out... :)

i wasn't gonna say anything, but im working on a wa2 skin now. might be my final if someone helps me with coding. any offers from you guys? the guys in wa3 are abit ignorant unless you make somthing Neko or Adil style.

i'm starting to get into wa3 skinning a bit, but for now i'm sticking with wa2. (and xmms :-) ) Until someone makes wa3 for linux, and i really need it, i'm gonna be skinning wa2 style. As well, i prefer the chalanges of having to work around the limitations of wa2 to more free-form skinning.

I've still got some unfinished wa2 skins around, that i'm gonna finish soon including the almost finished "liner notes"

i like wa3 because i am alrdy further with that then any wa2 skin i ever tried 2 finish, but the coding gets 2 confusin for lil noobs like me. and more or less every1 i nthe wa3 forums never help me wen i ask. the wa2 dudes are way more helful

Well, I would be doing WA3, but no one seems to want to answer my posts in the WA3 skin forum. I might still do at least one more WA2 skin, though.

i'm skinning wa2 still but sort of learning winamp3. too bad i don't have a forum to go to to ask questions for some help (that's a lot of to's). the winamp 3 forum goers are all about downloading the skins, not helping people with their skins. they all follow neko around and kiss his ass. look at all the threads asking for help that fall off the page with 0 replies.

oh well... i'll go rant elsewhere :hang: ;)

Well, I'm not really skinning anything right now. (damn school :mad: ) I guess I'm sticking with WA2, but I'm still trying to learn xml.

I'm not starting any more wa2 projects...And doesnt look like i'll be finishing any wa3 projects soon...:hang:

well from the looks of it there is a 60% wa3, 40% wa2 ratio going on.
i thought it would be much more wa3 oriented, well i guess i was wrong. wa2 is still going strong

How im feeling at the moment i dont think i'm really into skinning anything - i just cant seem to come up with stuff i like anymore.

Every now and then i'll open up psp, start something, then think; "thats shit" and close it again lol..I want to try and do at least a couple more wa2 skins, but i wanna do a couple of wa3 skins too...so I guess im 50/50..

and I've got way too much work for school this year to start trying to learn anything new

and going to a new forum for the first time always scares me...;)

i think i'll stick to winamp3 now. its more impressive than wa2 plus freeform skinning is the way to be :)

WA2 only.

About 6 months ago, I was surfing the 'net and came across the world of Winamp 2 skins. I thought, "Ooooo! I want to do that!" (I always think that when I come across new things) and eventually realized I could. I read a few tutorials and started perusing the forums, then gave it a try. Six months later, I feel I've learned 80% of the ropes. I have about 3 skins half finished, and by the time I've finished them, I think I'll have learned enough to satiate my curiosity and sense of challenge. I'd really like to make more wa2 skins to refine the process, and I might in the distant future, but for now skinning sucks up too much of my time! (This isn't a reflection on wa2 skinning so much as my inability to do anything quickly ;) )

I might check out wa3 sometime, but I don't feel compelled to now. I'll probably never try skinning it (What? Coding? :igor: :confused: )

But of course, nothing's for sure is for sure . . . .

I'll prolly stick with Winamp2, since I have no desire to learn the coding for 3. Although I would LOVE to do a Swiss Cheese Dream for WA3 :(

I guess I just feel skinned-out lately... that new skin I was working on has been on the back burner for quite a long time, and I just don't feel all that great about it. Argh!

I don't use WA3, it doesn't fullfill my needs as well as WA2 (not with my system, anyway), despite the extra features. I may skin for it, though - as I don't really skin for myself, anyway. It just depends on how mind-numbingly boring the coding is. But, like MetallichicA, I feel all skinned out. I'll finish the Aphex Twin skin, although it's dragging on a lot. After that, I want to finish my Milkdrop skin, but I don't know if I'll have the motivation. I think the ensuing death of WA2 skinning might coincide with my retirement from the world of skinning, actually. We'll see.

i'll be sticking with wa2 for a while. A long while. Until i have to get a reviewer to find, download and install wa2 just to review my skin. However, i may make the odd wa3 skin.

I'm gonna do at least one WA3 skin, or at least I'm gonna try, depending on how that goes, I might do more WA3 skins, or return to WA2. though there are still at least a couple of WA2 skins in me, dying to get out :D

Well, I don't know honestly, I've got a WA3 skin about 3/4 graphically complete except for last bit of image mapping and plotting coordinates, but WA2 skinning is something I'll at least start often as "something to do"; since I've finally got most of the basics down it's relaxing. So right now I've got web graphics, one WA3 skin, and a couple WA2 skins I'm working on sporadically, though the WA3 skin is priority right now. My coding partner in crime is working on learning that part, so no actual timeframe yet. And I'm also a bit frustrated with the dearth of actual info in the WA3 forum, I've browsed a LOT looking for things but have yet to be inspired to post. Maybe we need a "crossing over" home for us who are transitioning :p

not right now, my current project is my WA3 skin for the artex release, although i doubt me and rikki will be able to complete it by the deadline cos im slow and lazy

WA2 here, and still i aint very good... but ill still be here until they stop dev. on WA2 (god no!!!) so you can see me for a while i hope...

Puter troubles are the main cause, seems every time i fix something, something else goes wrong...

I dunno. Mostly Winamp 2. Maybe Winamp 3, if coders are plentiful, and once I actually download the damn thing. :)

As long as WA3 remains so big , slow and CPU dependant , there will be no skins from me , althought I have one planned out and sketched.
