Im back to skinning...

i think ill take up skinning again... and my first project is to finish my "ONE" skin... :)

PeaceMaker 31st August 2002 10:46

and what's this "one" skin look like?

RanDom_ErrOr 31st August 2002 20:42

let me find the component id....

here it is :

http://classic.winamp.com/skins/detail.jhtml;$sessionid$5RQR4RTF4ZGHVTN241HBC0Q?componentId=73649

well thats the rough version, i want to get style skin working again so i can remake the main window, but i dont have a serial for it...

Mr_Tough_Guy 31st August 2002 23:22

when posting a link to a skin don't forget to remove the session ID
here's the link without it:

why do you need style skin to remake this skin, just use PS or PSP, with the main of the original as a basis

RanDom_ErrOr 31st August 2002 23:33

you see i used style skin to make the EQ... needless to say it looks KICK ASS... and besides i like that program... all you need is a texture a template (which i make in PSP) and it makes a kickass lookin skin... its a simple way to make (sorta) complex looking skins... seriously look @ the EQ when in winamp... (dont bitch about the buttons they will change)

so have fun

RanDom_ErrOr 1st September 2002 00:36

if you think that the main is the most ill do with this program, youve got to see this...

RanDom_ErrOr 1st September 2002 01:01

im making alot of changes to my old skin (squashing bugs, color scheme, button look, is it a rip or just a continuation of my skin?

since i am making MASSIVE overhauls to it...i dont think its a rip.. but i just want to be sure that i can post it... (on winamp)

Mr_Tough_Guy 1st September 2002 01:21

I don't think you can rip you're own skins, since it's you're own skin, any modifications made after it has been published are just a continuation of your own skin, even if an entirely new skin is the result of that. same thing as all those obsidion skins foreverer made.

rips are made by people trying to take credit for making a skin they didn't make, if you alter one of your own skins it would just be an alternate version of your own skin

ok that sounds right, but in the skin rip FAQ its misleading... someone fix it please i would say where it was, but im to lazy to open the window again... :/ lol

anyway here is what i have done so far tonight... the flat area around the buttons is my place keeper, it will be removed...

any ideas/comments appreciated. buttons are likely to change shape, a few tweaks to the posisitions of things, and small mods like that, the addition of the Open file button and small things like that...
