I couldn't find the old thread this time, so I started a new one
I hope that's ok

some of you may remember this skin...I'm slowly making progress towards a finished product

all that's left is mb and avs...those shouldn't take too much longer

suggestions, comments?

can i just suggest that you highlight the eq sliders a bit, i can't make them out at all, and it will detract from your functionality rating. will there be other colours available?

what do you mean by highlight? have the track highlighted or a more prominent button in the middle?

there will be other colors if anyone makes suggestions as to what color. I don't think I'll change the outter color, but the inner displays can be easily changed

I couldn't think of anything for the mb that I wasn't too lazy to do, so I just made it blank...I think it looks nice like that anyway

I also put marks in the eq bars where the sliders are to make it more functional

so, could someone bugtest and suggestionize before I submit it anywhere? that would be grrrrrreat:)

that looks sweet, esp for a ms paint skin. the only thing that i think could be better is the lcd display. i think it might help if you added a little more detail.

I would add more detail to it, but I didn't leave myself any room to work with on it, so I can't really without having a few areas in great detail, then others with almost none at all, so compromised

I too, love the title.

Couldn't find any major bugs, however there are two little things which may or may not have been intentional (forgive me if they were):

1) a pixel shift on the Playlist minimize button in winshade mode

2) The "r" in "pre" is darker than the p & e

Your current Read Me file could either be erased or substitued for your own words (just in case people start confusing the name of your skin ;) ) Also, will you be including the "kHz" and the "kbps" in the Main?

The skin looks great. :up: :up: The green and turquoise is really starting to grow on me. The min/max buttons in the main and eq are fantastic. Why didn't you use them for the rest of the windows? Was space a factor?

The background design is great and really flows together well . . . except in the eq. The eq bar borders are a bit too truncated - they just stop and start. Still, I recognize how hard it is to work in that particular area of the eq, and can't think of an alternate solution. As for the interior of the bars, it would be nice to see a bit more green/LED, as it's a bit difficult to read as is.

Hope you don't get flamed too harshly over the title. Perhaps you could put a joke pic of Britney (or some unreasonable facsimile) in the Mbinner. ;)

That playlist-pixel-shift is a Winamp bug. It's unavoidable. Curse Winamp for not making skinning perfect...

They simply don't care much. :P They figure the public's gotten used to it, or all the good skinners.

Back-compatibility. If they changed it now, older skins designed with the bug would look sucky (esp if they changed the titlebar thing). It's possible to do but it's not really worth it. Plus my mum says your dad smells funny.

Foo, looking awesome. And the skin. Perhaps your MBInner could be a graffitied picture of El Britney (I recommend some good facial hair and a few missing teeth). I agree the EQ's a bit muddly but I'm going by the ss here. One last thing. For the AVS (and prehaps the MB, I can't tell from the SS) can you continue your metal to the edges of the areas so if I have a avs thingy (or webpage) with a black/pink/white bg I don't get a little green lcd round the sides? Do you understand what I mean?

I believe that bug can be worked-around (if the area that changes when pushed doesn't take all it's place). And it could have been fixed with a trick as simple as nums_ex.bmp or even simpler. There could be, for instance, some tag in pledit.txt, if defined the skin would have the bug fixed, if not it would have the old behaviour. But no-one is going to fix that anyway.

2) that's intentional - it has to do with the shade of the background it's on...that alternates:) (the shuf/rep/open and cbuttons are like that as well)

the buttons in the main and eq wouldn't fit in right in the pl and mb...I wanted to put them in, but there wasn't room while still keeping the window outline standarded

avs: I noticed that too, I was just to lazy to change it, I'm doing that now

I would try to find a Britney pic to mutilate, but I'm afraid that if I search for it, I'll get a bunch of a fake Britney pr0n, and I don't think my parents would like that too much;)
