just do it

grab skinner's atlas or template amp and just do it.

its nothing more than a process. im currently working on my 2nd skin and i feel its better than my first but the only way to figure it out is to do it. not try to do it but do it. my first one wasnt advanced or exceptionally good or completely right but its what it takes to figure it out. dont fear it and dont worry about quality hell no one says you have to submit it. the basics arent as overwhelming as they seem. but jump right in.

just extract all the files from a skin and see what needs to be put where [but dont ever steal so much as a pixel]
- like has been mentioned 'skinner atlas' is good for that, but any skin will do - it takes a bit of working out but when i was unsure of something i would just bung in some fluro colours and then see what happened.
