lost skin
Hi there! :)
A long time ago (well over a year) I had a problem with my computer and I f-disked it. In the process I lost all the winamp skins I had at the time. Most of them I found and redownloaded, but there's one I can't find & it was my favorite. I don't remember exactly what it was called, but it had a denim jeans look to it and there were little stitches everywhere. It would be so cool if anyone knows the one I'm talking about. |
searched for jeans brought up this

Thank you, but I've tried searching... denim, jeans, & stitches, & the one I'm looking for is a lighter shade of denim... stone wash color & the stitches are mostly x shaped.

THAT'S IT!!! I could kiss you! :D
There's just one problem. When I try to download it, I get the winamp base skin. It doesn't download properly. I'm going to try emailing the creator of the skin. I don't suppose anyone has it & could send it to me?? :( |
make sure the skin is a .wsz file
if you installed winamp3 it thinks all downloaded skins are for it and rename the .wal at least thats what happens to me |
I've had problems downloading from 1001 before too, tried downloading the same file a couple of times, even on different days, tried for two weeks, and al I got was the baseskin. wasn't a problem with the wsz, cause other people could download it fine, but I couldn't download that skin from 1001 from my computer, and ended up waiting till it got published at winamp.com and downloaded it there.
if that is the case you might have to get it from a different source, mailing the creator of the skin would probably be your best bet |
Try right-clicking and "save as", "save link as" or whatever it is called in your browser.

 I managed to get it downloaded using a friends computer. They have a faster computer and a faster connection. I want to thank everyone for your replies and for helping me out! :)

Control Panel/Internet Options/Temporary Internet Files/Settings. Choose 'View Files', find the WSZ file (sort by type first) and delete it. Press OK (It's like that on Windows 2k anyway) |
