my war against spyware

i want to raise a army and take on the likes of normal kazaa and wild tangent to stop them sticking spyware on their stuff and making it so huge (like kazaa is waaaaaaay bigger than kazaa lite)so any genetilcy modified monkeys or apes to help with my devil duk army will be much apreciated. (there is a point here which should be spyware should have a big huge warning on the front of it saying "this has spyware STAY AWAY, STAY AWAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!" and i think im gonna have a few battle llamas and cactaurs because they kick everythings ass(even the green evil mooses)

You could just not download them, or look for alternatives like KazaaLite.
This way, you do not get any spyware :)

Hmm, a good idea, though as Bilbo mentioned, you're not required to download the software anyway.

I don't like the concept of Spyware however, as it invades what you do, with no mention of it happening. Companies shouldn't have such power! They are already getting the money we pay for their stuff!

yeah, kazaa must get loads of money from selling their software.

psychoticguyver 7th September 2002 16:54

yea but how many sponsors has kazaa got, its like popup heaven. good thing i got kazaalite now, thanks bilbo

bibbouk 7th September 2002 16:58

Isn't Kazaa's software free? I think it is fare enough that these companies who publish this software do have to make money somehow. As much as I hate it I'd sooner have adverts on kazaa then have to pay $40 dollars for the software. Besides when you install Kazaa you can uncheck the installation of the spyware.

no it still instals it

Actually it DOWNLOADS the spyware BEFORE you get to uncheck them from the list... pretty stupid huh?
