Problem with the kbps

Hello

I have a small problem here when i DJ... I like to set my upload to about 64kbps, Stereo since im on dsl, and not a very good upload. However whenever I switch to soundcard to talk, it always sets the server back to 24kbps, and reconnects. Can anyone help me fix this please? I use windows xp if that makes any difference. My talk input is at 44100Khz, Stereo if you need.

Thanks... Any help is appreciated.

you are doing nothing wrong -- it is a bug within shoutcast. if you use output 2 instead, you should not have this problem.

Actually i was using Output 2...
I tried output 1,2,3,4 and 5 and still have the problem... Please help..

Use encoder 2. You should not need to keep switching the Input Device though.

What do you mean? I was told everytime i need to talk i need to switch to the Soundcard, then when im done talking, switch it back to Winamp.

If your mixers are configured correctly then when you want to talk you press the Push to Talk and the music will fade out and the mic will fade in. See: http://forums.winamp.com/showthread.php?threadid=86076 for info on it.

I should just leave it on Soundcard the whole time? Even when I am playing music? Also I didn't understand what to do in the open mixer thing... Could you plz explain that to me.

Is your mic USB?

What do you get if you go to the Master Volume mixer > Options > Properties > Recording?

yeah my mic is on my camera which is USB...

When i go Master Volume mixer > Options > Properties > Recording
i get:

CD Audio, Line In, Microphone checked. Rest are not checked.

SHOUTcast isn't setup to work with a USB mic like that (at least I don't think it is and don't have one to mess with). It would control the Master Volume Mixer and its Recording Mixer which would have no effect on your mic.

aight im off to buy new mic D:

immanuelx2 30th September 2002 00:25

hey.. i got a non USB mic now.. it plugs in right into the mic slot, and i still have that problem... When i switch to Soundcard input it reconnect at 24kbps. What was the "advanced mode" you were talking about?

immanuelx2 30th September 2002 21:46

I found the stereo mix in the Recording thing, and i turned it all the way up.. but im not sure if it works... Anything else i should do? I just leave the input on soundcard correct?
