Random notes vs power chords

There seams to be quite a few folks that like/ want to like classical music around here. Personally I've never understood the appeal of classical, a lot of it is very random and untunefull to my ears, except some stuff that you hear on adverts and the like. I prefer a good 5th chord to listen to.

Which would you rather listen to normally and why is it that pop seams to like rock music in that it promotes a particular song as 'rocking', like some tracks by 5ive, yet they never play proper rock? Is shouting cool?

Power to the chordez!!!!
All that touch guitar stuff sounds like harpsichord music to meh!
SHOUTING IS COOL BUT ONLY IF I DO IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I love Spanish Classical guitar...listen to Charo play sometime, very nice.
Randomness has never seemed particularly musical to me, even when Zappa did it.
