Suckiest PC Thread
Post your PC problems here (real ones, please!)
Maybe you could offer some tech support, if you know of a fix to someone's problem. Then you can at least say "Wow, :('s PC is even more useless than mine!" This is my entry: http://www.filetransfers.force9.co.uk/averagejpeg.jpg Edit: That's ethan_H's car. I hope you don't mind, ethan. That is how my computer displays most *.jpg files. It displays GIF's PNG's and BMP's fine, but it mashes most JPEG's. and1k |
Where should I start?
Actually, the only error on mine is the bad clusters on my HDD> |
1 Attachment(s)
my laptop has bad clusters cuz i treat it like shit.
and this is my other problem |
and1k, are you using aol?
if not, you could try reinstalling your browser, new gfx card drivers or a new pc :) |
XP Sucks
XP always screws up, just like all the other windows. I keep on getting "This program has encoutered problems" or "This program has done an illegal operation and must shut down immediatly". What, is my computer dealing drugs over the internet or something? The reason why Microsoft called it Windows is because they crash and break very easily.

im running an [athlon xp 1800+] with [384 pc 2700 ddr ram] with a [nvidia geforce 4 2400 ti] with [asus AV7333 mobo]. These are great components and my machine runs like a champion. But, I used to have an athlon 2000 and one day it overheated.... amd would only give me an 1800 in return b/c it was an oem product. In order to keep the hot athlon processor cool, I got a $50 thermaltake copper heat sync (top o' the line) with a fan that blows 50+ cfm of air. Man, this fan is noisy.
So that is my pc problem, a noisy pc. This really bums me out when listening to music. I am on the lookout for quieter pc's and so far I am still looking at the alienware system. Anyone else know of a quiet system that is top of the line when it comes to gaming? :) |

I'm downloading the newest version of IE6 (SP1, I think) as I type, my graphics drivers are around 6 months old (downloaded from ATI within that time) and my new PC is sitting upstairs, without a modem or any other kind of 'net connector. Quote:
Edit: I've got another problem. This computer sometimes sits for up to 5 mins, wondering if it's going to follow that link or not. It sometimes even refuses to bring up programs for a few minutes. Then it brings up millions of copies, because all the menus work. :igor: |
Hmm, I have a problem with AOL.
I have version 7.0 installed and I run Windows 98. Whenever I log on, it logs me off randomly sometimes. The time I'm on until then depends. It could be a minute or even half an hour. Any help? :( |
Geez.. AOHELL and dial up. What a surprise.
I hope this helps: Edit ur phone number and adjust the connection speed to either 38400 or 56700. If you put it up too high, it has a higher tendency to disconnect. |
