my favorite ARTIST is Aphex Twin, his music is absolutely BEAUTIFUL. plus he's COOL, and rad, and his music videos are AWESOME. :)

QHOBBES 13th September 2002 00:34

Green Day, they may be biggest sell-out pop-punk band in the world, I
still like them (Stink-182's masterbation and i fucked your mom stuff
is just old and boaring) and have been since Kerplunk!

greenday's drastic style change wasn't them selling out. it was them becoming artists and just writing, not being constrained by punk genre rules guidelines.

TheOrgasmicMe 13th September 2002 02:19

Flogging Molly! why? original, celtic punk, thats the best i can decribe it

chiquita chad 13th September 2002 02:26

incubus. they're different in a good way

Jon Deaux 13th September 2002 02:31

Whatever band Hope Sandoval is in now.
Because I like watchin her try to keep from passin out onstage.

n_ick2000 13th September 2002 03:15

At the moment, it's probably Forest Of Shadows. If you haven't heard them yet (which you probably haven't), then you should. Kind of a mild Gothic Rock band (I think).

schweitn 13th September 2002 03:16

Dave Mathews Band... hands down favorite. Do I really need a reason?

J. Burnaway 13th September 2002 04:28

The White Stripes - so many great songs.

Trillinon 13th September 2002 06:09

Recently, It's Dream Theater that's sucked me in. To the point that I bought thier album and effectively doubled my legal cd collection.

Though Trans-Siberian Orchestra is just a few feet behind in terms of quality.

rabidgoht 13th September 2002 07:21

favorite band? it would most definetly be Type O Negative Why? i like there music style... it fits my moods... but if i were to pick a second... id say Green Day.. Why? cause i grew up listening to nuthin but Punk and Surfer Bands..

Some1 13th September 2002 07:35

Right now I'm listening to a lot of Emo, so my current favorite bands are Thursday, At the Drive-In, and Boy Hits Car.

Though I must say that my favorite band of all time is Nirvana, if only for the influence that they had on music...

Bizznatch 13th September 2002 07:43

Green Day

if it wasnt for them, i'd still be listening to rap and hip hop :igor:

Oni-Dracula 13th September 2002 08:19

binary hero 13th September 2002 10:30

deftones

their music is beautiful.

Aero Zeppelin 13th September 2002 10:40

Oh no not again. :p

Aerosmith because I like the hard rock style, I like Steven Tyler's singing style which is thick and has lots of unique characteristcs to it. I like the lyrics a lot of the time, they are never about negative things. Take for example, Livin' On The Edge "you can't stop yourself from falling". That means that if you are so daring and you are doing stuff on the spur of the moment, you never know when you might fail. I like the band's attitude. Steven I have heard is a very nice guy and the other guys seem nice. They have been around forever not because of the money but because they are all friends. At least that's what I've heard.

btw, anyone know why my sig says just the links? i checked my sig field in the profile editing, but it still is the same as before. with the [img] things

c0nstr1ct 14th September 2002 00:01

hard choice, I have no real one favorite band at this time, but I'll just pick one.

Morbid Angel.

they have a lot of groove for any metal band, and a lot of fast grind with guitar solos.

trey is a metal guitar god. erik has some kick ass solos. They both have a distinct soloing style. pete has some of the fastest drumming in metal. vocals are brootal yet lyrics are still audible if you understand metal.

I agree. Brandon Boyd has a amazing voice whether he's singing or screaming; every album is different and overflowing with emotions; and the lyrics are so beautiful and meaningful.

I dont have a fav band..I LOVE all music..well almost all/rap and heavy metal are not high on my list.butI have been knownto listen to some.Anyways as I said I like most all music..even other langauges, such as Japanese,Spanish.

My favorite Solo artist I adore is SELENA QUINTANILLA PEREZ:For those who are not familiar with her ,she was a meican/american born in Corpus Cristy Texas,VERY popular singer,in many lands. She was working on an English crossover when her life was taken at age 23 by her fanclub president/who was btw was female and 35 at the time. She shot her/hitting a main artery/vein in her shoulder causing the Tehano singer to bleed to death.Ok I wont go on there is a site if you would like to find more out about her at:http://q-productions.com/ .

I sing myself and am VERY versatile...so I do all different types of music.I even sing in Spanish, and of course many of my songs are from Selena. My fav is COMO LA FLOR:means Like a flower:D ok im done blabbing on..Oh one more :I LOVE CelineDion.ok thats it.

ok so I lied heres one more peice of info:There was a movie made about Selena and Jennifer Lopez played her/did a DAMN good job of it if I may say so myself.(That was just put for those who may have not known about the movie)

Night all:rolleyes::weird:

CAKE = Rock And Roll
http://rocktoons.com/cake/index.html

I have every one of their albums and I never get tired of them. They're just so original.

lemon_chicken 14th September 2002 14:35

regurgitator
- best messages in the songs, and fking awesome tunes - they've done hardcore, to 80's pop, to hip hop

cake
- they have their own genre, and it rocks

gomez
- clever with a capital 'booyeah'

c2R 14th September 2002 14:41

I find that a very difficult question to answer - probably the 70s and 80s rock and punk genre... bands such as the Femmes, CVB, the Clash, Lou Reed, Leonard Cohen, Iggy Pop/The Stooges, The Jam, and R.E.M. are all fantastic.

I also rate 60s rock music very highly, with groups like the Stones, the Kinks, and the Who - their songs are absolute classics that have easily stood the test of time.

There's a bit of music quite recently that I'd also rate as excellent - Green Day for one, as well as Nickel Back, and Ben Folds actually - his breed of piano-based rock exceptionally appealing.

Lain 14th September 2002 14:55

The pillows, because they sound good. :)

The Incredible String Band

Forty years of the very best in original, poetic and thought provoking music.

Given shape to my life like no other band.
