Raz 22nd April 2003 01:41

Red Hot Chilli Peppers
Nirvana

Because chili peppers do a seriously amazing live show. Nirvana ditto. I just love the songs in general. Chili peppers styles vary and give out lots of interesting original results. I just love listening to both.

Omit Name 22nd April 2003 02:37

Fickle 22nd April 2003 03:58

Everything from Elvis to Elvis Costello, The Soggy Bottom Boys (O' Brother where art thou?) to Linkin Park, The Beatles to Hendrix, All things with guitar play or sweet licks on anything.
Steve Miller, Alice in Chains, Incubus, System of a Down, Rage.
I don't have a favorite for a reason--that way I don't get stuck on anybody and follow them into a self-dug hole.
Weezer, Green Day, Nirvana, Sly and the Family Stone, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Primus, etc. I could go on all day.
But I won't.
Blues Traveler, Dave Mathews Band, Queens of The Stone Age, The Eagles, Beethovan, Mozart, Billy Joel, Creedance Clearwater Revival, 311........

MetallichicA 22nd April 2003 04:14

BELA FLECK! Love 'em!

Anyway... depends on the mood I'm in. http://www.bexgd.com/playlist.html

Fav bands LATELY: In Flames, Type O Negative, Edenbridge, Nightwish, Blind Guardian, The Gathering... I've been in a pretty gothic mood I guess.

Oh, and ABBA for some reason lately... lol

But really, if you take a look at my playlist, you can tell my favorite bands because I have more than 20 of their songs :D

Holy mackerel, you could just about use that playlist to check bandwidth. There's about 500 songs missing from it I think, since I haven't separated them out from my downloads folder yet.

Bizznatch 22nd April 2003 04:44

Green Day

Because if it wasnt for them, i'd still be listening to rap :p

But seriously, Green Day has inspired a good generation of great artists/bands. And they were a good part of the rock revolution of the mid 90s which made alternative rock what it is today.

Lain 22nd April 2003 05:05

My top Faves -

The Pillows
Harvey Danger
Plastic Tree
Wyolica
Interpol
Ben Folds

il cornuto 22nd April 2003 14:51

Nine Inch Nails, because they make me feel a variety of emotions, have integrety(sp?) and sound unique. But I like anyone (within the industrial/metal/rock/(post) hardcore world) who makes me feel a variety of emotions.

Raz 22nd April 2003 16:01

Green day, NOFX, The Offspring, All those early 90s punk bands are still good for a listen. I'm not going to forget Led Zeppelin or hendrix though. I agree with fickle.

Raz 23rd April 2003 17:30

You can like what you like. Musical tastes may differ but nothing compares to seeing who you like live. That every music fan has in common (except maybe people who don't like bands/musicians that are still alive ;))

Tarron_D 2nd August 2003 23:02

My favorite bands rotate. I've got a lot of bands i like, but only 2 or 3 i listen to at any one time. For the last 2 weeks its been Tool, NIN and Radiohead. Actually its been NIN and Radiohead for the past 4 to 6 months, and Tool in the last 2 weeks. And i pop in a random cd from any band whenever i feel like it. But its mainly been NIN and Radiohead.
If i had to choose a favorite band, it would be NIN, but Radiohead really isn't any lesser on my scale. I choose NIN because its extremely emotional music, and Trent Reznor is a musical god. I hope to play the instruments im learning as well as him. (He is my main musical inspiration.) Just a fucking amazing band. I lub NIN. :D
