What do you folks think of Winamp3
 

I love Winamp. Windows Media, Real One, etc... they all suck. Mp3s sound crappy and there's no way to play with the equalizer... and no pre-amp. Winamp has been by far the best music player around.

But this new version is absolute crap. It's nice to see that skins can now come in any shape and size, but all of them are difficult to read and the sound quality is horrible. Mp3's pop and fizzle like a crappy wav file made with Windows sound recorder and a factory mic.

Why does my music sound better with the previous versions? Is this sh#t-o-matic software sucking up processor speed on me? I've switched back to the earlier version and made sure that I've saved the installation file where I won't lose it.
