Won't play streamed OGG

I am using Andromeda to stream, via HTTP on a LAN, my OGG library. This worked quite well with Winamp 2, but I get some interesting behavior with Winamp 3.

Winamp 3 successfully receives and parses the M3U file but then, for each track, it flickers the "Connecting to" message, followed by the track name, and then, several times, "Prebuffering Done." Then, nothing. It does not play the track.

If I take that same file, copy it locally, and play it - it works fine. So it isn't the file itself.

If I try to play an MP3 file the exact same way (via Andromeda), *it* works fine. The "Prebuffering" message is displayed once and then the track starts playing.

I applied the WA3Update, but that resulted in no change in behavior.

Here are the specs:

Running Winamp 3 build #488 on a Win2K SP2 machine w/ Soundblaster Live! Value.
Andromeda is running under Apache and PHP on a Win2K server in the same subnet. The OGG files were mostly encoded starting with Ogg Vorbis RC2 and work fine when played locally.

[Edited because I got my 2K and NT4 service packs mixed up.]

Yep. See this line in the original post:

"I applied the WA3Update, but that resulted in no change in behavior."

:p

I'll try it again to make sure, though.

[2 minutes later]

No change. It's still doing the Prebuffering dance and then switching to the next title in the playlist.

I also tried turning off HTTP Seeking, manually playing with the Prebuffer settings, and enabling/disabling EXTM3U in Andromeda (just because I've had issues with that and XMMS, but have never had issues between it and Winamp 2).

Dig dig dig

Sorry, looks like other people have already brought this issue up.

I took Andromeda out of the equation by directly referencing the URL of one of my OGGs. So, I hit Play / Location and entered:

http://loadtest2/jukebox/Novelty/Monty_Python/Monty_Python_Sings/02_Sit_on_My_Face.ogg

Did the same thing as it did with Andromeda. Prebuffered and then did nothing.

However, it works if I go to Play / File and hit it via Windows networking:

\\loadtest2\c$\Program Files\Apache Group\Apache\htdocs\jukebox\Novelty\Monty_Python\Monty_Python_Sings\02_Sit_on_My_Face.ogg

So, Winamp 3 just hates OGGs via HTTP.
