This skin just gets better and better. I love the Cbuttons now. :up: :up: :up: The flower is wonderfully detailed and looks supergreat. I'm not crazy about the yellow in its petals. It doesn't really suit the icy feel of the skin, however they're subtle enough and don't blatantly detract.

I always thought the pinkish bottom of the on/auto bubble was due to the reflection of your former red flower there. I see now that's not what you had in mind, but you could consider it. It might make that bubble look more liquid/icy if the highlights at the bottom were blue/white/yellow, reflecting the flower just below it.

I'm not a fan of the current eq, but I'm assuming it will change. I also think your text and numbers colour should be brighter (i.e. more white than grey). I'm not a grey hater, honestly. I just think it dulls a skin that is otherwise colourful.

You're really closing in on completion. I can't wait! :)

I totally agree. The entire PL seems to have left the whole flowing water theme behind.

step in the wrong difection, the earlyer pl was much nicer.

well im getting rid of all the icy stuff(including the stupid cbuttons)

the ice wasnt part of my original vision of the skin and was only there because i was too lazy to put any curves anymore....

im also going to try the container EQ idea...

the numbers were crappy on account of my laziness also.

but dont worry ill make everything in the skin have equal quality instead of rushing it...

Oh yeah, these PL stacks are much better, although the left side of the PL is a bit dull. The right side, however, is great. I love the way the up/down slider 'echoes' at the bottom, and how it corresponds to the top horizontal bar.

That bubble that used to have the red glow on it doesn't look like it's reflecting the flower anymore. I think that some yellow (like the yellow on parts of the flower) in the reflection would make it more obvious (like n.i.s. suggested)

I don't know if you're interested in Astrology, but having the symbols for the water signs strewn elegantly throughout the skin somehow would be pretty cool (and the other elemental signs in the other skins) (The water signs are Cancer, Scorpio, and Pisces)

What bothers me is the pixelization on that light gray, uh, shape thing. The one that starts just left of the play button and extends to the right. Needs antialising.

Oh well, I likes what I sees! The eq looks good, as do the Cbuttons and Posbar. The new numbers is an improvement, but I'd still like to see them a little more cursive. The Playlist title and slider bars don't really match the rest of the skin and, though I know I'm repeating myself, I have to reaffirm my dislike of the grey, particularly the dark grey. I'd like to see the grey metal-like stuff downplayed in favour of water/ice.

But that's just me. :p :D

Wow! :eek: I didn't know that people at deviant art actually gave constructive feedback! Usually it's just ten people in a row saying that they love the skin in four words or less.



-I think that having some small "replay" arrow or something inside the "replay" bubble would be pretty cool. It would make it more 3d as well as make it more obvious what it is.

-Great idea for the cbuttons. I guess that idea had been staring you in the face for ages without you knowing it. It works well.

-you really have to do something with the EQ slider. At least make the superflous bits blue like the inside of the bars.

-I still don't like the flower. I don't think it's very watery and it's almost a little grotesque. Well, maybe not grotesque, but its not very elegant, while the rest of the skin is.

-I don't think the vis bars suit the skin too much. They're a little too shiny and metallic and harsh. They'd look great on a different skin, but I don't think they match the style of this one. I would think that something more subtle should go here. But the shadow/echo underneath the vis looks terrific (although I actually thought there was something wrong with my monitor for a second)

-it's been on my mind since the beginning - I think that green streak near the preset button perhaps should be toned down.

Well, I quite liked the last PL, but I think you've done a good thing with this one. It's so sleek now :up: It's probably good to counterbalance the busyness of the EQ/MAIN. But maybe the stack buttons - or the area adjacent to them - are just a little too plain.

I won't bother commenting on the fire background because I know that by the time you're halfway through the Fire skin, it will look totally different :D - but I am very eager to see it.

I agree. Why not make the (or a new) big(er) circle/bubble the center?

I think a brighter blue circle would look nice as the button. Either that, or just have it blend into the background, using the large circe as a marker.

The background of the bars is consistant from top to bottom, so that should be possible.

btw, The animations are lovely.

thats not possible since the slider moves 2 or 3 pixels for every 1 frame of the bar animation and that means the bubble would be deformed....maybe a tiny bubble would work.....

Hmm. Would it be possible to have something to fix the funkiness of the EQ? like EQ.bmp, and EQslide.bmp (or something) that overrides the EQmain.bmp in a similiar fashion that nums_ex.bmp will override the numbers.bmp? It would be similiar process, only with more parts involved, because its an entire component, rather than just text.

[Edit] or just the sliders.bmp, and have winamp read that instead of winamp using the bottom part of the EQmain.bmp. [/Edit]

Great EQ bars (though maybe you should make them a little less cartoonish-looking) . I love how the circles are animated differently above the slider and below it. But that neon green line near the preset really doesn't fit anymore.

PL stacks look pretty good, although the bottom-left corner of the skin just looks too bare for me.
