midi 2 wave 2 mp3?Diskwriter doesn't work

i can go from mp3 to wave but I can't go from midi to wav. Can anyone help me please. I have downloaded diskwriter but it doesn't work.

Oh yeah, and turn your speakers down when you open the new WAV file (which will take a LONG time to write--you might as well leave it overnight), turn down your speakers. It's gonna be, like, loud.
