equalizer settings change

every time I close and reopen Winamp, the equalizer settings change a little bit.
They converge to the middle position. After about 30 'reopenings' the equalizer is in middle position again.
Anyone else got this problem or can someone help me with this?

OK, found it.
save the equalizer settings as default and activate the auto function.
