Simple Marquee-plugin?

Hello,

Hope I don't annoy anone by posting here, have been wading through posts for a while, couldn't find anything.

I am wondering:

Is there a plug-in that displayes what's playing (based on tags) /locally/ on your own computer - for instance in a similar manner to the marquee screen saver in windows?

I have found numerous plugins that allow you to send what's playing info to various chat programs, but nothing seems to be able to do it locally - just on your screen (haven't downloaded and tried them all fully).

Does such a thing excist?

Thanks for reading :)

(The reason I want it is so that I won't have to walk up to the puter to read what's playing if I can't remember the name of a song etc, and am sitting elsewhere in the room (oh, and for party use)).

http://www.samurize.com/

Will display current song, uptime, ram free, hard drive space etc. on the desktop, using very little in the way of resources.

Only works with win2k/xp.

Very cool app though.

Excellent suggestion!!

Thank you SO much for the tip! :) Excellent program, spent hours just playing around with it, I warmly recomend this, though not just for the use I was suggested initially!

Thanks again.

Did I mention: Download this program - you won't regret it!
(freeware)
