PSP or Photoshop?
Which one do you think is best?
I believe that Photoshop is more advanced but I prefer Paint shop pro cause it's easier and does everything I want! But to simple stuff I use Irfanview. |
Not this again... it's a neverending battle. There are also several other threads about this, I'm fairly sure. All you'll get is a series of:
"Photoshop is better. PSP sucks." "Nuh-uhhhhhh, PSP is better, Photoshop sucks." "Well I use MSPaint." "Go to hell." But I use Photoshop because it's what I use at work. Most other programs are too "cute" for me. |
That MS paint thing were a joke right?
Sorry but I've never seen a thread like this! |
It comes down to personal preferance.
I mostly use psp, but use photoshop for some photo editing etc. I like psp because it only takes a short time to learn how to use all its features, and can do 90% of what photoshop can do....Its weakness is its user interface sometimes seems a bit too simple. Photoshop takes longer to learn, but can be more rewarding. There are thousands of plugins available, and although many work with psp, many dont. If photoshop had vector drawing like psp does, i'd probably use it exclusively. I also use gimp (the script_fu functions are great for making logos or banners really quickly), Ulead PhotoImpact, Xara X and even mspaint sometimes. |

I've got PSP7 and AS3 for when I need to do slightly more advanced things, but I primarily use MSPaint. |
i use photoshop for creating content for print, and general web design schiznit, I also use psp for browsing files, damn i wish i had ps7
|
PSP Is great: It does tons of stuff in an user friendly environment. Although PS may be better for compadability issues, but I think PSP has PS on the ropes, but it's not down for the count.
:) |
i can do just about anithing i want with photoshop, i can make cool director shokwave files ( teh eye candy), website interfaces, cards, posters, cd covers, animated gifs, buttons etc.
80% of teh time if i really need soemthing doen photoshop provides a way to do it, but paintshop is good to. *shrugs* depends on wich one ure used to using (btw photoshop 7 isnt that big a diference from 6..) |
I use PSP, Photoshop, Illustrator and Fireworks.
|
i havent tried fireworks, is it like FLASH at all?
|
To be honest I'd use both as in my view you can edit well in PSP but in Photo you can get plugins to play around with so try both
|
PSP is easier to use, but you can do so much more with PS.
|
I use PS more, because that's what I was trained in. MS Paint is my ho, though
