I screw around with photshop now and then and came up with this. I was trying to develop a dark-mooded picture as a front splash for my friends site. I think it worked

I think it's an influence of the guy ( can't remember his name) who drew the illustrations for "Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas" by Hunter S. Thompson.

It started out as a frog, got changed and well, you'll see.

Not for the faint of heart (j/k)

may i direct you to the yellow ribbon thread? please? :P

[edit] just in case it wasn't clear: i like it. i do. really. make more. [/edit]

I thought it was excellent. Has a very unique and modern style. I would do something about the gradient fill in the background, though.

Gerald Scarfe. He also did the cartoons in the opening of 'Yes Minister' Always looked like he was using a scratchy pen that kept leaking too much ink. I can see your point.

Looks like someone's done a number on Kermit then :)

--actually, no.

I looked him up and found the right dude--Ralph Steadman.
I didn't think it was Scarfe, as I've never heard of him.

you can't link to images from geocities unless you rename them .txt...

don't worry, they still work fine.

Fickle 7th November 2002 06:03

well, it's not my site I linked to, so I can't change the extentions. Maybe I'll post the links later.
If you really want to see it, can't you just right click, hit properties and paste the path to the bar thing...ahhhhscrew it. It's too late to care.
2:AM and my knee hurts.
I was trying to work on my story tonight too, just another thing you never get around to....

I had to do something, the first round had just two colors--red and black and while it was okay, the thing (lizard, turtle, etc) looked to fuzzy. I was going to just make the background the light blue but I decided to rock the gradient. It was still a bitch to fill in the spaces in the blood streams though.
Oh, well. I like this version better, so bite on that:p

I know nobody's listening and It seems like I'm post pumping a monologue, but this is my second post in as many days...plus I'm just bringing more pictures to the table.
Or a picture because I 'm too lazy to find a host or server or whatever. I'm a parasite.
It's called Street Lamp from Concrete shoes. I was thinking of John Gotti (The Teflon Don, Mafia Kingpin)

Its unuasul yet wondefull.......
thats quite a good piece of abstract art.............
:D

It's a decent pic, however I find it to be a little oversimplistic and one-dimensional. Adding a few more colors or at least a little more "texture" to the skin of the frog could help, as could adding a little perspective, or some secondary object occupying some of the unused space (and maybe getting showered by whatever is being spewed from the frog or something).
