winamp 3 skin for winamp 2...
i prefer winamp 2 over winamp 3, but like the look of winamp 3 better. so is there a skin that will make winamp 2 look like winamp 3?

how do i install it? when i click download it asks me if i want to save or open. i am using IE6 with SP1. If i save it, what folder do i put it in and how do i use it? if i choose open it it just asks me what program to open it with

easiest way - right click, select "save target as" and save to c:\program files\winamp\skins folder; make sure the file extension is .wsz. If it shows as .sz or .wal, (the database has been acting a bit peculiar lately) rename it as you're saving it, ie, "skin.sz" to "skin.wsz" in the skin folder.

3 SIMPLE STEPS TO DOWNLOADING.... STUFF!
1, Click the download 2, Save to My Documents 3, Open file when you downloaded If it dosent work go in My Documents and change the file 'skin-name.wal' to 'skin-name.WSZ' and open that. if that dosen't work download Winamp2.xx :p |

my how the topic has strayed....ehh....wa3 skins for wa2....none really will live up to what you think they should as they are all bound by the 275x116x24bit Res's. (In other words they are square w/ a finate(sp) set of colors and have no alpha blending to the desktop.)

nah, I'm saying that it has no alpha blending or ability to increase its colors etc as wa3 can. Also, that the 24Bit Bitmap is the only graphic format supported. For the WA3 Skin's there is no real boundary as far as I know. Except for the mind...I guess everything else should function.

yeah i find tht a bother myself i love the skins for wa3 but as u all know u actually need a comp for wa3 and it has many other problems
