I just found this stuff when I was generally floating about,and well I just thought,How can microsoft claim what they do,I mean as it really is'nt there idea after all?
I'd say that although he claims to have made the OS. that runs the net,in a way it is an adaption of an allready existing idea therefore,as he nicked an idea and based his origanal and derivitive systems on this,Then no one can be using illegal "microsoftsoftware" as in itself the system is Stolen.i.e.:it can't belong to them.Not there idea.:) :)

Yes,I know they bought it .Or rather they purchased the right's to the concept.Also because they were working at the time on there own operating system.
If you read the article it clearly points that,even though they have had to relinguish some stuff,they in principle will maintain these priveleges by some other means.
One of the reasons microsoft had to give certain key security features up for,was because it was not there own "Original Idea" and as such, some of the key features of there system were by now ,Through other similar types of generic software available,deemed to be "Public property",that is, certain programs,so widely used in software and to remove there obstinate blockade to program compatibility in differing O.S's.(I'll see if I can find the link again,but it's in amongst them link's anyway).
What he is trying to do or his lawyers,if I read it right,is to patent certain key aspect's of present and future O.S's,thereby placing a hold on the recent judgement against microsoft.
ie:bilys a naughty bot...That may also have been a feeble attempt at humour:p:D makes me wonder half the time though....
