Well just being honest guy's:)
ok The .zip file I attached is the basic bones of my new web-site.
I done it just now in office2000.
I know but I have to start learning somehow ,groan.:D
anyway, I managed to get the page link buttons inserted but can't get the pages to come up when I test in a browser.I would have thought it would go to the page stored in my docs?or found it somehow?
any tips where I went wrong or am doing wrong would really be appreciated.
Took a look in the page that said HTML suddenly went big:eek: and someone said I'd soon have the code,No wonder you guy's get paid so much Whooeeehh.This fun this is :)
Please any comments critism or otherwise will be saved and studied.
thanks

What is it that you are trying to do: Use Java to do certain things? I don't want to view the pages just yet untill I know what is going on.

code:

<applet code="fphover.class" width="120" height="24">
<param name="color" value="#000080">
<param name="hovercolor" value="#0000FF">
<param name="text" value="About us">
<param name="textcolor" value="#FF0000">
<param name="effect" value="lightGlow">
<param name="url" valuetype="ref" value="Page%204">
<param name="font" value="TimesRoman">
<param name="fontstyle" value="regular">
<param name="fontsize" value="14">
</applet>

i noticed that opera tried going to c:/.../htmldocs/Page%204 when i clicked the repective applet. i believe you need to put the extension (.htm) in the highlighted section above. i don't have ie, so i can't test it with that, and netscape is too buggy :p

after the edit, test the page in as many browsers as you can.

God load of stuff to learn

what i'm trying to get is the link buttons ,Home,Productsetc to goto the relevant page. I named these Page2/3/4etc.I figured when I used the box that said for creating the link between pages,that when I clicked on the button in a test browser it would find the page.Say Page2 which is the Products page.(or will be I hope):)
I figured if I could get this far,I should be able to get my head around the rest.As I figured this would be the hard bit.
( Saying that you don't know my server:eek: )

and thanks for that code copy ¡Æ!I off to look for it now and play:D
