Need Help
 

When I download a skin, it will not work. With winamp2 it just does not work and with winamp3 a message pops up and says it can not find STUDIO.EXE. What do I need to do.

umm, depends on which skins you're downloading...

studio.exe IS the winamp 3 exe file, if that's missing, I'd redownload winamp 3 and reinstall it, for starters. Depending on when you downloaded it originally it's a good move anyway cause the newer skins won't work with the older bets versions.

to download skins, make sure first you're in the winamp 2 site for winamp 2 skins, or 3 for 3, look at the top right of the page banner and go to skins for the right winamp.

right click on the download link for the skin you want.

for winamp2... download to the program files\winamp\skins dir and save target as as skinname.wsz, the database has been acting weird and trying to name them *.sz or *.wal, which won't work.

for winamp 3 to the winamp 3 skins dir and save target as skinname.wal

Note that while part of your winamp2 skins will work on wa3, the playlist, thinger, and menus will be default.
