What are your favorite songs you listen to while falling asleep?
Sometimes I have trouble sleeping with complete silence, so I leave winamp on with a sleep timer plug-in; "Winamp Countdown" works well enough... I'm thinking of buying WinAlarm since it has better features.
Anyway, I like Baker Street by Gerry Rafferty, it's pretty soothing, except for the high-pitched saxophone bits (but that's what the volume slider is for). :p What about you folks? |
I leave the ceiling fan on, I've got an oscillating fan by my door, I've got a floor fan outside my door, I've got a small fan at the head of my bed, and I've got an air ionizer that I have running all the time near the foot of my bed. Needless to say, there's enough sound in my room to put me to sleep. :)
I can't sleep in silence... I've got to have some sort of constant sound. And since it has to be constant, it can't be music. |
i hum myself to sleep (no wa used) with, oh, let's just say the national anthem of finland. why finland? because i like it. it never works tho ;)

I like having white noise at night, too, but I heard that it can damage your hearing after a long time. Apparently your ears get used to a certain decibel level, and it doesn't register as well after a while. I dunno if it's true or not, but I don't really want to find out the hard way, so I've been trying not to leave the fan/bubble machine on at night anymore :(
I used to crank Metallica and fall asleep to the Black Album lol. |
I ususally like to put a blank CD in the sterio and fall asleep to that. That one track the player can't read is really good. ;) :p
|
certain cds by nine inch nails put me to sleep comfortably.
|
New World Order puts me to sleep.
|
Talk radio owns me.
|
I sleep with only the sound of my girlfriends sleeping for noise. Its the most beautiful sound in the world.

Don't have a lot of trouble sleeping, sometimes I feel the need to end the day on a more peaceful note and play a classical piece to drift off on :
"Variations on a Theme By Thomas Tallis" - Ralph Vaughan-Williams. "The Pines of Rome" - Respighi. There was also a piece by Villa-Lobos about a train in the Andes, but can't remember the exact title now. UJ |
