CD spinning but no audio
 

okay I have a plextor CD drive and winamp3 running on a win2k box. I am not able to hear any audio from the CD drive. real player plays CDs fine. mp3s play fine on both winamp3 and real player. why cant I hear CD audio from winamp3 - what can I check?

I have winamp on winxp. It works great for the administrator, but won't work for my usual, poweruser account. Any ideas anybody? Real one works, as does (sort of like always) windblows media slayer.

wow - not a great response in these innefficient forums. I am answering my own question:

cd audio out is not connected to the audio card input i bet.

this plugin for winamp will put you on the path of righteousness.
