Is this any better?

Atmo 23rd November 2002 09:38

Looks better, but i hope you'll be adding more metal controls. At the moment they just stand out way too much compared to the rest of the skin.

Krynis 23rd November 2002 09:45

yep ill be adding a few things to the main and i intend to have alot more on the other sections

Krynis 23rd November 2002 09:49

you dont think the colors are to dull do you?

It depends. Its a little too early to tell where this will go. If theyre darker, the shiny metal sections will be too much contrast.

P.s. You can edit your posts for up to 3 hours if you need to add something.

ill remember that next time :)

tell me what you think of this

EDIT:
after some thought i dont much like it myself

Atmo 23rd November 2002 10:17

I think it looks ok, but it needs some shadowing so it doesnt look as flat.

Krynis 23rd November 2002 10:24

im not sure what you mean would you mind giving me a small example or telling me something i can look at with a problem much the same?

Just a quick example i made to show how much difference a simple shadow makes.

the problem im encountering with that is covering to much space i have so much stuff close to other stuff so when i place a shadow of any sort it over lapse and looks not so lovely

i also just noticed it makes the C Buttons look flat (and i was dumb enough to edit the wrong image some time back so i have no layers:hang: )

Krynis 23rd November 2002 11:10

i think i fixed the C Button problem

Note: i posted again instead of editing so u can see the fixed and not fixed

(forgot to attach)

heh Oops heres the pic

EDIT: i think the Cbuttons look better with out the shadow

dam 23rd November 2002 17:15

I do hope youll fill all those blue areas. Apart from that some of the metal looks a bit too bright. You might wanna tone them down a little.

not in santiago 23rd November 2002 17:25

I think it's just the Cbuttons that look too bright. The rest looks fine, IMHO.

However, I think the Cbutton part could use a black outline like the rest of your metal bits, just so they mesh a bit more. (One part looks very graphical, while the other looks more realistic.) Also, the right part of the Cbuttons end rather abruptly, although I assume that's because they're not finished yet. :D

I'm liking it so far - please keep with it!
