Help!
 

Okay, i need help getting the microsoft office software to work. I just got it and every time i click on powerpoint or any other office program, it tells me that i need the windows installer to run. What does that mean? Im sure its an easy fix but to what they mean is beyond me. I have windows 98 second addition and the office software is 2000. I need this quick, i have a presentation at school tomarrow!!!

did you PAY for your copy of ms office?

WEll i got the disk from my partner who is working on the presentation with me.

try reinstalling. that's all i can say.

i havd that same problem after a reformat that i did. i tried 2000, '97, and finially had to go pre office 97. a buddy of mine had the disk so im not sure what it was. then upgrade back to office 2000. it was a big pain in the butt. but thanks sawg for the link that will deffentally come in handy.
