In the bookmark editor please add a way to create a bookmark there. The only way you can currently create a bookmark is by saying "make current play bookmark".

I would also like it possible to show other data about the file in the playlist/media library. Currently it only lists the length beside the entry. Every other media player lists other data beside the entry so why shouldn't Winamp. Sure you can right click and view fileinfo on it but this is time consuming and we shouldn't have to do this.

Also what happened to the nice info for shoutcast streams when you right clicked the shoutcast entry in the playlist. It would show the version of the shoutcast server, the address, name, bitrate, etc.

I would also find it very useful for everyone to be able to copy text from windows in Winamp like in the MPEG details tab on FileInfo once it is finished. In Windows when you select Preferences you can select and copy and size of the file, date, location, etc and I really like this.

While using Winamp I have noticed the active Winamp window is lighted up while the others are dimmed. This is really annoying because I cannot see the dimmed windows as well, especially the controls on the top of the windows. In 2.8x there was a function to turn it off yet I can't find it in 3.

I still see some stardard windows like on play location or play directory and also on the presets. Will this be changed to the skinnable wasabi windows or just left how it is? It doesn't really matter to me but I'm just making note of it.

I have noticed there is no way to delete and entry from the playlist. I hope this will be fixed.

My biggest problem of all is how the designers created the "titlebar" buttons for winamp. They are the unclearest, most illogical buttons i have ever seen. For the buttons that close a window make it an X. It's as simple as that. It has been used in windows since Windows95 and everyone relates X with "close that particular window"! The button that currently closes windows looks more like a resize button. I would also like to know how the main winamp menu with all the options in it go moved to the right of the + button. A big mistake in my opinion. Why not have a main menu on each window at the very left and include opacity and size options?

Does anyone think Winamp3 sounds quieter than Winamp2 at full volume? Whats up with that? Even with the equalizer, the preamp all the same Winamp3 is quieter than Winamp2. Why is this? I would like Winamp3 to be able to increase volume much more and decrease it much more as well.


By the way I am using the #491 build and I must say it is much faster than the previous builds I have seen.

It is in fact as fast as 2.8x and in some cases even faster. Faster when connecting to shoutcast streams, applying and closing the prefs windows (2.8x lags after closing the prefs windows i suppose from applying them). It still however takes longer to start up and takes much more ram.

????? it looks like a cross to me?? in what way does it look like a resize button? btw it is exactly the same at winamp2.

hmm same decoder, same sound, right?? But winamp3 uses direct sound as a default, try wave out.
what can i say, next generation mp3 player uses next generation ram.
