Shoutcast SUCCESS after router firmware upgrade!
I just upgraded the firmware on my Linksys BEFW11S4 router to 1.43.3Z and Shoutcast server can finally get a listing on the internet yellow pages. One other thing that may be a factor is disabling 'block WAN requests'. I put the Shoutcast server on an ancient P200MMX overclocked to 233mhz. It's marginal but works if I don't try to use the machine for anything else while it's on. I put this machine in the DMZ on the router and forwarded UPnP ports 8000-8001 for UDP. Works like a charm!
Curiously, I am only supposed to be 128k in the upstream, but I was able to open 3 instances of my 128k stream on three computers via Shoutcast's web page listing my station, "Adventures in Anime Music". I wonder if those requests got rerouted through my local LAN, rather than the internet? At any rate, IT'S WORKING! |
What is your stream url?

I hope this is right.. I copied it from the "Tune in" icon:
http://yp.shoutcast.com/sbin/shoutca...e=filename.pls Does this value not change often though? I thought perhaps I could add it to my web page directly. |
