XML error on WA3 startup

:( Too bad, WA3 displays an XML error message on startup. Because of this error, the database won't work correctly...

you get this error with the base skin? if so, uninstall winamp3, delete the directory and reinstall. if not, it's a problem with the skin you are using.

It doesn't help. I guess, Win98SE doesn't have an internal XML parser, that's why WA won't work. Thanx, anyway. :)

Err... Winamp3 uses it's own internal XML parser, not Windows's, so that shouldn't make any difference.

Uninstall Winamp3, delete the Winamp3 directory, and reinstall without any skins or components, and that should fix it.

Doesn't help

Too bad, it doesn't.

One of my friends can't even start it. BTW, We've got it from MPEX.NET, but set all params to default. Does it make a difference?

Russ 17th December 2002 16:09

OK, what's the error? what OS, service pack, IE version, language, any unusual hardware?

proclub 17th December 2002 16:16

I get some sort of XML error message at startup, adn the database does some sort of strange things. OP: win98se, celeron366 256mb ram, maestro sound card. WA3 is from MPEX.NET...
