"All supported types" in File>Open dialog not showing all associated/supported types

When in the file picker dialog, selecting files to open, the "Types" modifyer "All supported types" doesn't really pick up all the supported types. It misses WMA's, OGGs, etc. MP3's and playlists are picked up, and when you select those types in the modifier, it works, as when using All Types or *.*. These file types are associated with WinAmp, and even installing the Full version (latest 2.81 build installed just last night) doesn't seem to correct it. I browsed the winamp.ini and didn't notice anything in a cursory exam. I'm sure I missed something. Any tips?

Yes, this particular subject is referenced in the official buglist in the Tech Support Greatest Hits forum, and has also been brought up on numerous occasions before, eg.

However, we seem to have concluded that it's not a Winamp bug, but it's actually a Windows limitation instead :igor:

As explained in the link above, unassociate Winamp from some of the rarer formats c/o input plugin config, and the problem should go away.

Aha!

Thanks. I missed that in my first run through the old messages. We'll see what happens. :)
