why circles?
 

umm you know there are alot of circle based skins .... i wish i could figure this darn skinning language out cuz i wanna make a cube skin just to be diffrent, or maybe some other diffrent shape such as lightning bolts to go with the winamp icon

My guess is that because people were locked into rectangular skins with wa2 that many want to stay away from those shapes.

Unfortunately, circles waste a lot of desktop space.

exaclty!!!! cicles suck, and rectangles are boring, but cubes and triangles are new and there are like zero of those shapes

it is entirely up to the user, i dun fancy circle skins but i do like those strange shaped ones. free form skinning has given skinners a lot of freedom (no pun intended)

who cares about a certain shape! just go out and make a random shape, maybe with a certain aim in mind.. (eg: practical)
