.PSD thumbnails
1 Attachment(s)
Installed Photoshop 7 about a week or two ago. And all the .psd files I save have generated thumbnails for icons. But sometimes, the icons change into things like the ones in the attached pic. These icons have been by far the weirdest yet. Is this a known bug? Any fixes?
[edit] BTW, all those shown in the pic are .PSDs. |
Yep, you're not alone. It's either a photoshop or windows bug.
|
That's happened to me lots of times but a good reboot fixes it. :) (until it happens again that is ;))
|
Same here :)

I'm not getting it:(
Stupid Wierd Windows XP *hits computer with fist* BE NORMAL! |

|
lets say that yo, um..."acquired" the program in a way that you an't just download the updaet normally, any other way to get it?
|

boots computer, WHY WONT YOU FUCK UP LIKE THEIRS!!!! |
@GoldenSphynx:
R-click on the psd thumbnail > Properties > Photoshop Image tab > deselct the Generate Thumbnails checkbox. Wait a second or two, and you should see the change, back to the default psd icon. You have to do this for each individual file seperately. |
Hi papadoc. Very good to see you,
Was starting to worry about you for a while 'til I spotted you over in HA. Hope you're well and life is treating you kindly. UJ |
Hey ujay...I sent you a pm.
Also make sure that under Folder Options > File Types, that psd images open with Photoshop. If that setting is right, then its another stupid Windows thing. You can also try using Tweak UI to rebuild your Windows icons. "This rebuilds icons when you find that Explorer is displaying the wrong icon for a program or shortcut." Windows 2000, Windows NT, Windows Millennium Edition, Windows 98 or Windows 95 WinXP If you use Tweak UI, be absolutey sure you follow the download instructions, and the read me files. |
Thanks papadoc :)
