hehe, u port this from ut2003? i had a similar idea a while back (metal wise) but a bit different to ur design.

was also influenced by some pencil sketches by a guy named ant, a pro i guess. found his stuff on the official website.

I really like the main so far, but im not sure about the big pic in the eq. Im sure you have more planned, but it just doesnt seem to go together too well yet.

Will be interesting to see how this one turns out. :)

hm, if your releasing this in next breed pack then its gonna be a cool pack for breed, cos of vidas skin hesmaking, im not sure if hes releasing it either, but itll be cool if you both release these in the next release for breed, prolly be something people talk about for a while.

its nice so far, i like it, but i also think the metal needs something more but you obviously just starte don this one, so im sure youll do it.

yea i knew about vidas skin since he drew it on pape about 2 weeks ago maybe, i also know about his other ideas, him and i have grown to be pretty good friends, hes a nice person to talk to and get help from, and i appreciate having him be my friend, hes a cool guy :)

plus hes funny in #artex :)

yep, he's a cool guy, vida usually puts a lot of time into his skins, not sure if it will be finished on time for the january pack. well my 3 color themes for breeder unit will be released in january for sure, let's see how far I get wtih this skin.

Back on topic : I like the border and stuff but I dont think the blue lcd and the blue lights/glows look right. They look out of place to me.

left of center? don't think so, explain...

middle area of the titlebar is too much left...this throws off the rest of the skin and gives it a "left" feel.

Hmm... your "lcd" area doesn't look like an lcd area, which I am sure xeno might praise you for. It looks like armour plating with blue neon on top. I dunno, it just looks too flat / monocromatic.

OOHHHH very clever how you did that!...putting something directly under to fit into the numbers area so it can reflect each number individualy....i dont believe ive seen anything like that before.:up:

....but overall it still has a very plain feel.

aside from the glowing stuff it actually looks like something possibly from mspaint(i dont mean that in a bad way though)

Looking pretty good. I don't like it as much as Breeder Unit, but I guess that one was a hard act to follow, since it was so damn good. And I guess you're more in the mood for a more regular-type skin now. Some thoughts:

-I wish you'd label the cbuttons/shuffle/repeat. I know I've been guilty of not labelling cbuttons before, but I think if all the buttons look exactly the same and are unlabelled, it makes the skin really annoying to use, and makes it look a bit plain

-I'm not convinced about the colour combination. That green is really drab, and that blue is really bright and 'chirpy' - They don't seem to go together well, IMO

That volume slider looks like it will be very cool looking, but please don't tell me it's going to be another DA/Breed skin with a volume bar that lowers and closes as it gets towards zero! :D DA/Breed skins are like Jazz is to music - technically better than just about anything else, but reworking other peoples' ideas is the norm :D Anyway, only joking with that Breed/DA stuff, as always. really.

I like the simple Breed foetus logo, and I also like the reflections. Can you do it for the text? (even for just one pixel-width?)

Interested to see what the rest will look like. So far, it reminds me, strangely, of some sort of Commodore 64 tank game (that is, if C64 had more than 16 colours)

that one has it for cbuttons...alot of skins have that...883 has it on the numbers

i dont know what skin but ive seen that numbers reflection and the text reflection multiple times before, its a good idea, but its gonna be another one of those over used effects, like the reflecting vis area and reflection titlebar =\

so far this skins pretty neat, but its looking a bit flat, but its still in the beginning stages, youll do something im guessing.

I think I know which skin 883 was inspired by. I think its Mantra III Compendium (spellin?) which was removed cos some of its components were ripped.
