I have internet connection sharing running, and I can't bear to part with it. I need to work around this somehow, I already reconfigured the port to 1000 and the y-thingy to 666. I'm running the server and the DNS from the client of the internet connection sharing, someone please help! I have no idea what port-forwarding is either and people keep sending me to these crappy faqs pages that don't answer any of my questions. Someone please give me a clear answer! I'm sure I'm not the only person with this problem! THANK YOU!

The problem with Windows ICS is that it is multi-firewall, more than a few levels deep. Win security really plays heck with it when opening ports, it allows you to share the Internet for browsing and that's about all.

To stream with Shoutcast you need a 3rd party port opening util. We use http://www.analogx.com PortMapper. Once downloaded and installed, click config then input your ports...done! Min it and you're streaming..takes about 3 seconds to do...

It works for us...
