anybody else seen this film? anybody know why it has been nominated for so many golden globes? it is so average, painfully average. The sheer amount of violence is totally unneccissary, and just gratuitious, the amount of nudity (not that i have anything against it) is, again, just gratuitious, it has no relevance to ANYTHING.
The one good (well, better) point of the film i liked was the high pitched whistle (it made my ears bleed, but it was effective).

To be honest I don't fancy the movie anyways ...same goes for the 8 miles movie

...it does have nudity, lots, no cameron diaz nudity (sorry...i was dissappointed too)
but i dcan't wait to see 8 mile (just to see what eminem is actually capable of)

well lets just say this...if Eminem makes the movie big!!! beware of every gangsta rap movies with him in it

Damn... I thought it might be a good movie. There is too much sensationalism and not enough content in movies these days (except for a few exceptions).

I thought Gangs of New York was excellent. Perhaps there was a lot of violence, but, er, to a certain extent that's what life was like. I can understand Americans not liking being painted in such a way, but there's parts of the history to every country that you might not wish to look back on with pride.

As for the eninem film, I haven't seen it - so I can't pass judgement...

There are a lot of mixed emotions on that movie. Many different people have said different things about it. I, myself, haven't seen it, what the hell is it about?

They were happy enough to make Braveheart and The Patriot :)

Well, I saw it, and let me tell you this. IT SUCKS! Except of course for the gatuitous and useless violence and nudity, although they were both a little over the top for an AA movie.
