recommendations for...?
 

so it seems i've got a virus on my computer.

i can't really scan with a good one (ie Norton) because I'm running Windows 2000 Advanced Server, and Norton doesn't work with AS.

So, I implore you, what can I do to get rid of this shit? :)

Reformatting is the only way I can think of, that doesn't take a virus scanner...

but reformatting is such a pain in the ass!

Reformatting wont get rid of all virus' (boot sector virus' etc). Try the online scanner KXRM linked to first, if that doesnt work try a few other scanners.

I've never run 2k advanced server, so i cant say for sure if they'll work, but mcafee and pccillin usually do a decent job.

i looove norton, but it's being a bitch about installing on AS for some reason.
