Sniper Victims

I just saw something on the news about victims of the sniper shooting. Apparently, I think Two of them, but I'm not positive, are filing lawsuits against the store who sold the snipers the rifle that they were shot with. Personally, I think that this is just plain fucking stupid. Where do people get off suing whoever they want, for whatever they want, whenever that want? They have no reason to sue the store. Nah, now that I think of it, the clerk SHOULD have KNOWN that they were going to go crazy and start shooting people. Stupid, stupid clerk.

If I find an article on it I'll post it. In the mean time, what does everybody else think about this? People for the most part are just greedy, obnoxious, jackholes, who don't give a flying fuck about anybody else. Like a sales advertisement in GTA says, "You can sue for pretty much anything, and you'll probably win! (or at least get a settlement)." But that's just my opinion.

[Edit]It was the sniper's FAMILIES Who are filing suit, even stupider, they have no reason to sue, they weren't shot. Read Article[/Edit]

God, why must this idiocy continue to be brought back up, and in such a moronic way too. Suing the gunstore is useless, unless the courts plan on disallowing citizens the right to bear arms, which isn't explicitly defined in the Constitution anyway. Living within ten minutes of two of the sniper shootings myself, I wasn't really affected, except for the added annoyance of extra police out on the streets. I really think the whoel thing was made out to be more than it was, just because it was a slow time for the media.

Actually, suing people is even more American than gun ownership - this just combines them both into one topic and pits them against each other. I'm hoping they both knock each other out.

(I'm still bitter than my local skate/miniture golf course shut down the skateboard park and got rid of highball - a cross between trampoline, volleyball and basketball - the funnest game EVER!)
