Xbox to Monitor Adapter troubles

My Xbox to vga Monitor adapter isn't bright enough. I have the adapters settings at full as well as my monitors. How the hell do i make it brighter? I'll spend money, anything to make it brighter. It bypasses any settings windows uses and goes by what it and the monitor is set at. I always wish they would make the brightness settings more adjustable, what the hell is the point if its not bright enough?

Why not just play it on a TV?

Because i don't have a tv in my room. The other tv's are always being used so i bought the adapter, and it works fine, but the damn monitor isn't bright enough. I was just hoping there was a way to make it brighter.

Can you get one of these adaptors for PS2?

I am guessing that you will have to mess with the brightness knob on your monitor.

I'm not sure about the NTSC and PAL factor though.

Get a video card with composite or svideo input. At least then you'll be able to boost the brightness and contrast with the video card drivers.

But for around the same price as a vivo geforce4 mx you could probably pick up a secondhand 51+cm tv, which in my opinion would be a better option.

just go out and buy one of those cheap ass TV capture cards and slot it into a PCI slot. You can get em for under $50 and they can make movies of what you are playing through them too.

That'll require a composite to rf addapter though, which will degrade the signal, add to that the piss poor quality of those tv tuner cards and by the time the signal is digitised and displayed on the screen it'll be awful.

Would the PNY Geforce4 Ti 4200 w/S-video work well enough?

No, because it doesnt have a composite or svideo input.
