"PLAYLIST001" getting old...
In my playlist editor, in the right pane, is a list of playlists. I'm assuming that I should be able to name them something other than playlist001, playlist002, etc. Unfortunately, that is all I see. I have saved playlists, and reloaded them, and no matter what they are named on disk, they come in as playlist001, or 002, etc. There are even several with the same name in the list. What am I doing wrong?

Read THIS please. Also click on the link in my post there to reference the other thread.

You can just right click on Playlist001 and select "rename".
Then type in something more relevant. Select "unload" for those you don't want. Whichever playlist is hi-lighted in the right pane at the time (ie. active in the left pane) this is the playlist which gets written to when you open new files from Windows folders or Internet Explorer. It is also the one which gets overwritten when you click: Playlist button -> Load new / Create new You can actually edit the way playlists are named by default by installing the Configurification Registry Component and going to: Main Menu -> Windows -> Config. Registry Installed Components -> Playlist Editor New playlist name = Playlist %03d "Playlist %03d" produces the "Playlist 001" formula However, I'm not exactly sure what other codes can be put in there . . . :igor:  |
LOL DJ! So kill me! I was lazy and didn't feel like typing it again. :D
But here's the screenshot from that 2nd thread anyway (for Frankie) ;) That shows how to load "back" a saved playlist, in addition to what you indicated, for when the time does come when it happens to Frankie. screenshot [EDIT] hmmm.. I never knew that about the Config Registry. I'm gonna go play with it now. [EDIT] |
Yay! :) :D

Thank you, that makes it clearer. So you have to name the playlist IN the editor, not just on disk...ho-kay...

Yep
