Relay Server?

I am trying to figure out out so set-up a relay server situation...
Here is the Plan...
We of course have Djs...and somepeople cant connect to 80/96kbps (know as a HI-cast) so we decided to have the Dj also do a cast in 40kbps known as a LO-cast) and the way they do this is just connect to our second Server, now the problem the Dj is connected to TWO servers ONE @ 80/96kbps and ANOTHER @ 40kbps. Now do the math this is easily 120+kbps on the Djs upload. What I wondering IS...how can we make it where the Dj connect to ONE server known as the "Relay" server @ 80/96kbps and then that Server passed the shoutcast onto a "Lo-cast" server and make it 40kbps...Know what I mean... the relay server can do dual Purpose it can be the Hi-cast server as well as the Relay to the Lo-Cast server...I have been trying to figure this out for sometime now..I just CANT...i am at the end of the road here...please... :igor:

The DNAS has no provision for altering the bitrate. It hands out whatever is fed to it.

What you would need to do is listen to the stream with a Winamp/DSP combo and send that on as the source for other DNASs at another bitrate.

NOTE: This is speculative and your mileage/quality may vary.

Example:
Winamp/DSP1 sends the source at 80kbps to DNAS1.
Winamp/DSP2 listens to DNAS1 and sources DNAS2 at 40kbps.
