Help with setting up
 
Hi guys,

I am trying to help someone set everything up but there seems to be a problem.

We have installed everything on the pc and thats fine but its broadcasting the audio.

She is using a network with two pc's and both are connected to the net (Broadband)I can tell you to that she is not usinig a firewall.

I have tried to search for her not results come up. I was wondering if anyohne could help me out please.. Can you tell me what the problem is and how to sort it???? Im lost past this part!

Are the necessary ports open in your firewall and are they being forwarded to the DNAS machine?

Check out http://www.radiotoolbox.com/cantheygetin and see if the reported information there helps.

Well if your port is default and you have linksys router:
open internet expolor and type in http://192.168.1.1
in the password area type "admin"

go to advanced, then to forwarding. There you tell it to forward:
8000 8000 TCP
8001 8001 TCP

(i dunno if ur range can just be 8000-8001 i nvr tried it and that way worked for me.)
Then it should work.
